Registration Procedure

• Please read and become familiar with the Billing, Missed Lesson, and Pool Safety Policies as outlined below.

• Fill out both sides of the registration form thoroughly and accurately. Be aware that we do have a wait list. Factors affecting how long your wait may be include your availabilty, instructor preference, your child’s age and ability level, and the type of lesson you are seeking. Generally, the more flexibility you have with respect to time and instructor preference, the shorter your wait will be.

• Return the registration form to us with the annual registration fee.

• Upon receipt of the registration card and fee, we enter your information into our database and place you on our wait list. We will work to find placement for your child according to your preferences.

• We will call you when a lesson time becomes available. If we need to leave a message, please return our call as soon as possible during office hours.

• Once you accept an offered time slot, it is yours to keep as long as you wish, per the conditions set forth in our Billing Policy.

• If your availability changes or you decide not to pursue lessons, please contact us immediately.

• Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time on the first day of your child’s lesson. This allows plenty of time for paperwork, a short tour, and ensuring your child, if under age 5, has a swim diaper as required in our Pool Safety Policy.

Billing Policy

We don’t box you in to long sessions that might not work for you. Our lessons are packaged by the month, to offer you maximum flexibility. We are open long hours to accommodate the busy schedules of today’s families, and we work hard to find days and times for your child’s lessons that work for you. Please realize that you could lose your spot if you do not understand and follow the billing policy.

• Payment for the next month is due by the 10th of the current month. For instance, payment for February is due by January 10th. You will see reminder signs in the lobby.

• If payment is not received by the tenth, we assume you have decided not to continue and your time slot may be offered to someone on our wait list. If you lose your spot, we will do our best to accommodate you, but be aware that you may end up back on the wait list.

• If you are experiencing difficulties in making payment by the tenth, please stop by the front desk and communicate your desire to continue and give us a date when you can arrange payment. We are more than happy to work with you in such instances.

• Payment methods accepted: cash, personal check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or ATM cards. We also offer automatic billing of your credit card—stop by the front desk for the authorization form.

• If you have decided not to continue, please let us know at the front desk.

Missed Lesson Policy

If you miss a lesson:

Because we package our lessons by the month, if you miss your regularly scheduled lesson for any reason (illness, vacation, etc.), you are still charged for that lesson. However, you may choose to schedule a Makeup Lesson, if you wish, subject to the following conditions:

• Makeup lessons cost $5 each.

• Makeups are scheduled through the front desk, and will most likely NOT be with your child’s regular instructor.

• If you schedule a makeup lesson and don’t show up, you will still be charged for that makeup lesson unless you call and cancel it 24 hours or more in advance.

• Makeup lessons are not recommended until a swimmer is considered an independent floater (level 4).

• Makeup lessons must be taken within the same calendar year as the absence. Please plan ahead. If you wait until the end of the year to do all the makeups for the entire year, you run the risk of not being able to work them all in before we close in December. If you will be absent for an extended period of time for any reason, your choices are:

• Pay for the lessons you will miss to hold your time and instructor. You may choose to make your missed lessons up per the conditions set forth above.

• You may stop your lessons at the end of any month. All lessons are on a month-to-month basis.

• If you are running late: Please try to be on time. If you arrive after your lesson is scheduled to start, you are entitled only to the minutes remaining in your lesson. Makeups are not allowed for partial lessons.

If we cause you to miss a lesson:

• If your instructor is sick, we will provide you with a substitute instructor.

• If your instructor is sick and no substitute is available, we will do our best to inform you before you arrive. You may then choose to take a credit for the lesson or receive a Replacement Lesson from your child’s instructor.

• We may decide not to give lessons in severe weather (such as lightning, severe winds, fire, etc.). Because we have a warm pool and indoor environment, we still have lessons in the rain. If we close on a severe weather day, we do our best to call and cancel the lesson before you arrive. A credit will be issued for that lesson.

• Please keep us informed of changed telephone numbers. Make sure we have your current home phone, cell phone, and address.
